Seawater from the Atlantic Ocean contains an average of 35 grams per liter of mineral salts, the best known and most abundant of which is sodium chloride (NaCl). It plays a vital role in the hydro-electrolytic (water-salt) balance of the body.

Seawater also contains all the essential trace elements (Copper, Manganese, Sulphur, Zinc, Magnesium, etc.) whose deficiency can lead, in certain cases, to dysfunctions.

 Stérimar™ seawater is taken from a specific location, chosen according to weather elements, tides and the study of currents to ensure its purity. The brand’s suppliers are committed to guaranteeing the high and constant quality of the seawater and to strictly respect the site and the defined sampling process.

This is carried out in an area where the marine coastline is regularly monitored on a sanitary point of view by the official organization IFREMER, who can trigger an early warning.

As soon as the manufacturer receives it, the seawater is again chemically and bacteriologically controlled to monitor the possible presence of heavy metals or accidental pollution.
